The work explores the process of power, the practices of wielding and surrendering power, the tensions between them, and the perspectives of both being observed and observing. Age rating: 16+

The overall piece was created live and built from four partially independent elements:

1. Pre-planned, Shibari-inspired bondage.

2. Music - 5 deliberately diverse tracks played in random order.

3. Filming.

4. Space, a wooden cube, The Hot Box.

 

The performers and the studio director did not hear the music during the performance. It was only audible to the audience, influencing only on their experience.

The final work asks how, on the one hand, one's own preconceptions and, on the other hand, the form of the performance affect how we view so-called kinky material. How did the elements of the performance guide the viewing experience? What do we see in the performance? What do we want to see in the performance? What do we not want to see in the performance?

Kokonaisteos muodostui livetilanteessa ja rakentui neljästä, osin itsenäisestä elementistä:

Esiintyjät ja studio-ohjaaja eivät kuulleet musiikkia esitystilanteessa. Se kuului vain katsojille ja vaikutti ainoastaan heidän kokemukseensa.

Lopullinen teos kysyy, millä tavalla yhtäältä omat ennakko-odotukset ja toisaalta esityksen muoto vaikuttavat, kun katsomme ns. kinkymateriaalia? Miten esityselementit ohjasivat katsomiskokemusta?
