PLATO’S CAVE
by Reality Research Center
at the Dome of Visions, Copenhagen, 2016
Plato’s Cave is a six-day mystery play featuring eight protagonists, three gods, and a choir. It is the second part of the Platonic trilogy Mysteries of Love. The play premiered at the Dome of Visions in Copenhagen in February 2016.
The performance unfolds in four acts, three of which involve intimate encounters between the protagonists and gods.
Act I – Shadows of Aphrodite
Where the protagonist makes a pivotal choice.

Act II – Shadows of Dionysos
Where the protagonist constructs a gateway.

Act III – Shadows of Apollon
Where the protagonist practices becoming real.
Act IV – The Cave
Where all protagonists unite and liberate their true selves.
Aphrodite, Apollon, and Dionysos guide the protagonists through the mysteries of love. The eight protagonists, selected from the audience, commit to the entire process, while the choir—comprising the rest of the audience—can observe their journey during the first five days, when the first three acts are performed. The final act, on the sixth day, is reserved solely for the protagonists.
